We were recently blessed to welcome Harrison Mungai from iServe Africa in Kenya to our St Mary’s Evening. He thanked us at St Mary’s for standing with them in gospel ministry and he updated us with everything that’s going on, giving us the following praise and prayer points.

1. God’s faithfulness

Praise God for his faithfulness to iServe Africa, sustaining the ministry and transforming lives through his word. We are especially thankful for the apprentices and TransformD participants who completed their training during the past ministry year.

Please pray that those completing their time with us would continue walking faithfully with Christ and serve him wherever he leads them.

2. A new cohort of apprentices

Praise God for the new cohort of 35 apprentices commissioned and sent out to ministry placements, and for a fruitful Ministry Training Course centred on hearing and applying the gospel afresh.

Please pray that the apprentices would settle well, grow in godliness and love for Christ, and learn to handle God’s word faithfully as they serve others in their placements.

3. Training and equipping gospel workers

Praise God for encouraging growth in our apprentices’ understanding of Scripture, confidence in ministry and desire to live lives shaped by the gospel.

Please pray for our ongoing training through GAP, TransformD and Utumishi Course which begins this month, that the Lord would raise up mature, faithful and courageous servants of Christ for his church in Kenya and beyond.

4. Provision and sustainability

Praise God for the generosity of churches and individuals who stand with us in prayer and financial partnership, enabling us to keep training and sending out gospel workers.

Please pray for the Lord’s continued provision for our programmes and staff in the year ahead, and for wisdom to steward resources faithfully and strengthen the ministry’s long-term financial sustainability.

5. Gospel partnerships and the future

Praise God for churches, organisations and individuals in Kenya and around the world who share our desire to see faithful gospel workers raised up for the African church.

Please pray that the Lord would strengthen existing partnerships and open new doors, raising up more men and women rooted in Scripture, transformed by the gospel and equipped for a lifetime of faithful service.

6. Training Centre Project

Praise God for his provision for the Training Centre Project. A generous ministry partner has committed to help us meet the remaining needs for Phase 2 – an encouraging answer to prayer.

Please pray for ongoing fundraising in the coming years for Phase 3, the final phase of the project. Ask the Lord to provide generous partners and enable the completed Centre to serve the training of gospel workers for many years to come.
