‘In Christ Jesus and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.’ Ephesians 3:12
At St Mary’s we see prayer as a privilege. It is truly extraordinary that we can speak to the Almighty holy God of the universe, yet we are free to come to him just as we are, and because of Jesus we have confidence that we are welcomed and heard. We pray on our own at home, in our various meetings and groups, and once a month we get together as a church family to pray.
St Mary’s Evening
On the second Thursday of every month at 8.00pm-9.15pm
We consider our monthly prayer meeting to be the most important meeting after our Sunday services. If you haven’t been before you would be so welcome. It is very informal. We sit in small groups in the church, we sing, and we pray for the Lord’s work at St Mary’s, Maidenhead and beyond. People choose to pray out loud in their small group or privately – either way if fine.
There is the option to join via Zoom if you can’t make it in person.
Daily Prayer
Each day church family members can receive an email with an item for prayer about things going on in the life of St Mary’s.
Prayer Triplets
Many of us pray regularly in small groups. This is usually arranged informally between people who know each other. The frequency of meeting is up to each group. If you would like to be part of a triplet please contact Rachel Meynell.
