I have been to women’s Christian events over the years but have not always felt as engaged as I did at the South Central Women’s Day held at St Mary’s earlier in May. This is my second year attending a South Central Gospel Partnership event for women and I am really motivated to continue attending and to spread the word. I felt very included and connected with a lot of women.
This year’s event was titled Running with Endurance and the teaching was on the book of Hebrews. It was attended by almost 200 women from various churches around Berkshire and Oxfordshire and the atmosphere was joyful and filled with the Holy Spirit.
The event was phenomenal and the speakers and the discussions were a great success. The messages were incredibly impactful and through several discussions I had, everyone took away life lessons. The feedback I had on the afternoon seminars from a fellow attendee was that the addiction topic was incredibly eye opening, also that the teenager topic was deeply encouraging.
The speaker Kirsten Guthrie made her talks on Hebrews so easy for everyone to understand and it was engaging and informative. I just want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in making the day possible, it was such a blessing.
These events really do benefit women tremendously by helping us apply biblical truths to our lives in a way that will help us live victorious lives fixing our eyes on Jesus.
