Beth Gomm, staff member at Christian Connections in Schools spoke at the recent St Mary’s prayer evening. She asked for prayers for CCIS for the following:
Please pray for various Christmas presentations continuing to happen both in schools and in local churches for around 50 schools in Slough and in Windsor and Maidenhead.
Please pray for possible opportunities to run Alpha Youth and Christianity Explored in schools and other venues from January 2025.
Please pray for the popular Christian Lighthouse holiday club in Burnham 27th July – 1st August 2025, and for the possibility of new Lighthouse holiday clubs in Windsor and in Maidenhead in July or August 2026, and a possible re-launch of Lighthouse in Langley.
In March 2025 it will be 30 years since the first ‘Easter Cracked’ presentations in local churches around here, which were introduced by the late Rev Jem Sewell. Please pray for this year’s presentations and that some more churches and schools will be involved. Currently around 50 schools are involved, so thousands of pupils and many staff – Praise God!
Please pray for wisdom and sensitivity with the Hanging Around Ministry.
