It was great to be able to have Harrison Mungai from iServe Africa joining live with us via Zoom for the July prayer evening. He brought us up to date with the unsettled situation in Kenya regarding young people rebelling against government policies, and how iServe has been active in ensuring the safety of all the apprentices who are serving throughout the country.

His main prayer points were as follows:

  1. Pray for the 36 campus students undergoing the two months’ discipleship programme enabling them to be transformed by the gospel in their lives.
  2. Pray that the staff and apprentices will find it a joy to labour in the Lord’s work, praying for strength and moments of refreshment in their service.
  3. Pray that the participants undertaking the Bible Handling Course will be well equipped with skills and knowledge great enough to be exercised in their ministries.
  4. Pray for resource provision for the construction of the training hall and cafeteria. This will enable more students to be trained in gospel ministry.

Harrison thanked all at St Mary’s for their support in the gospel ministry undertaken by iServe Africa. Please contact Jenny Taylor (jenny@thetaylorsmaidenhead.co.uk) if you would like to receive regular updates from iServe Africa.
