Christ Church Bracknell (CCB) held their first Sunday service on 11th January 2026. I joined the service to support Nick and Harriet Algeo.
The service was at 10.30 am at the Braybrooke Community Hall in Bracknell. I arrived about ten minutes early, and as I entered the hall I was met by a few familiar faces from St Mary’s, and also many others, who welcomed me. There were many children ranging from babes-in-arms, toddlers and young children. A most encouraging sight.
Nick preached from Acts 17:1-9 and Harriet led prayers. The hymns were a mix of contemporary and traditional but all sung joyously and with gusto. The service ended with the breaking of bread together at the communion table.
After the service, we shared lunch and I enjoyed a most hearty meal with warm conversations and fellowship. I made many friends that day.
I left feeling uplifted knowing that the word of the Lord is in good hands with CCB and that they are committed to making Jesus known to Bracknell and the surrounding areas.
Please continue to pray for this fledgling church that it will be a beacon of light and truth.
