People of the 9:15am, I have two events to tell you about, one request to make and an announcement.

The events…

Breakfast at The Bear: 26th October at 8:00am. We are going to The Bear again for our congregational breakfast. Come for a cuppa, for a bacon sandwich, or a full fry up. Come to see the people you know and love, and come to meet some new ones.

Hospitality Sunday: 23rd November Lunchtime. There are a lot of people at the 9:15am, and in Christ we are one. Hospitality Sunday is great chance for us to build bridges and get to know new folk in the church. It is pretty simple. You sign up (from 26th Oct) if you want to host or be hosted, we then put a group together and you all get together that Sunday for lunch. I went to Lindsay and Dave’s last year and it was a joy! Great food and even better company. Please put the date in your diary.

The request…

Crèche leaders needed: I am in need of five more leaders to help run the crèche. We already have some wonderful volunteers who are doing a great job, but as many of you will know, the safeguarding principles we follow require a high number of DBS certified volunteers per child for us to run it. We want parents to feel that they can leave their child in the crèche, but for us to be able to do this we need to up our numbers of leaders. Could this be you? Please contact Nick McDonald our Children’s Minister for more information: nick.mcdonald@stmarysmaidenhead.org

The announcement…

New Growth Group: Jamie and Vic Henshall are starting a new Growth Group on Thursday evenings. The group is going to meet weekly on Zoom so that it can gather together people from across the town and neighbouring villages to study and pray together. Jamie and Vic are keen to add a face-to-face dimension to the group so that people really get to know each other and feel like they can trust each other. This could be monthly socials, or prayer gatherings. Up for joining? Please let me know: adam.curtis@stmarysmaidenhead.org
