At St Mary’s we are committed to protecting church family personal data and we regularly review our processes which includes looking at how we share church family members’ contact details.

We currently allow church family members to decide whether to share some or all their contact details with other church family members, this includes email, phone number or address.

As a staff team we need to be wise about how we balance making it easy for people in the church to contact each other (particularly those who are involved in a ministry or area of serving together), against ensuring we are complying with data protection regulations and not compromising the safety of vulnerable groups by allowing easy access to contact details.

After much consideration we have taken the decision to restrict what information can be shared. So, from today it will only be possible to see other people’s email addresses, not their home addresses or phone numbers.

Church family members’ contact details are not automatically shared. To allow others to see your contact details you need to visit your profile page by signing into the members’ area of our website. Please be aware that the system is configured so that if you choose not to share your contact details unfortunately you won’t be able to view those of others.

Your current preferences will be maintained, so if you have opted to share your details or if you have opted out this will be unchanged and no action is required.

If you wish to make changes, please log into the members’ website by clicking the Login button at the bottom of the home page of our public website and then follow the instructions below:
