What a lovely evening of magic with Bertie Pearce at the end of February – a carnival atmosphere with hot dogs, pop, ice cream and friends old and new.
There was never a dull moment with plenty of tricks to baffle youngsters and oldies alike – balls disappearing under cups, string being cut and back together, objects popping out of pockets, a sword “through” an unsuspecting volunteer with no injury, and card tricks to mention a few…..even a cabbage appearing under a hat, which we got to take home and enjoy with Sunday lunch the next day.
Bertie also wove in his amazing story of how he recovered from poor health, was confronted with life and death and how he grew in his faith through the experience. It was inspiring to see how he’s used his talents to benefit others.
Our boys had their magic set out the moment we got home and have been wowing us with their tricks!
