Saturday 25th November, Maidenhead town centre was buzzing with people for the turning on of the lights festival. Bitterly cold but pumped full of sugar, a team of us from St Mary’s had one of many stalls that were there, and gave away hundreds and hundreds of flyers for our Christmas services, particularly Carols in the Church Garden with the Salvation Army – we’d love to see you there too!
Some of the more adventurous members of the group left the stall and even went out onto the streets, having excellent conversations with people about why we celebrate Christmas at St Mary’s. It was such a joy to be inviting people from all ages and backgrounds, and an important reminder of how vital it is that, as a church, we are at the heart of our community
