Welcoming young families

Our town centre location and spacious facilities enable us to host three popular toddler groups and a baby group during the week. These groups are open to all parents and carers with preschool children up to the age of four. We have plenty for children to play with and do; from ride on toys to craft activities and a great outdoor space when the weather permits.

The St Mary's Toddlers' Mission Statement sums up our ethos:

"All the Toddler groups at St Mary's aim to provide friendship and support for parents and carers with young children in a fun, welcoming, safe and Christian environment.

Our purpose within these groups is to use the opportunity to introduce people to friendship with the Lord Jesus and encourage all ages to grow in their love and understanding of Him"

As well as meeting weekly during term time, we also hold special events during the year. These events include:

• Parenting Course
• Christianity Explained Course
• Seasonal end of term parties
• Toddler Mums' Social evening
• Toddler friendly Christingle service with the opportunity for the children to take part in the nativity story
  
• Children's Thanksgiving Service

The purpose of these events is to build on the relationships we have with our Toddler families and use the opportunity where possible to present the good news of the Gospel in a natural, non-threatening environment.
