Special Events for pre-schoolers

Our toddler groups run a number of events during the year for all groups. These include:

Egg hunts at Easter, picnics in Summer and of course a party at Christmas! All parties are held during the midweek Toddler sessions.

A social evening for mums and carers when the kids are tucked up in bed! Unleash your creative flair with a grown up craft activity. Drinks and nibbles provided during the evening along with a short talk about the Christian faith.

A fun afternoon of craft, cakes, games, songs and low level 'quiet' fireworks. Always popular so get your tickets early!

This is held before the main Christingle service on Christmas Eve and has an informal atmosphere. It also provides an opportunity for the children to take part in the dramatization of the nativity story.

An opportunity for parents who don’t feel they can commit to a baptism but want to thank God for their child’s life.

We use ‘Care for the Family’ course materials and aim to run this once a year during Stepping Stones on a Monday morning. Volunteers are on hand to look after your children in the playgroup while you attend the course.

This is offered as part of Stepping Stones on a Monday and we run this about once a year. It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions about the Christian faith in a really relaxed environment with other parents. We use a DVD to help us examine the claims of Jesus as it takes us through Mark’s gospel. Your children are looked after by our helpers while you are on the course. The course is also run termly at St Mary's on Monday evenings. For more information see our Christianity Explored page.
