Summer Holiday Club
Children from St Mary’s and the wider community ensure that our August club is always a sold out event! Our popular club is a brilliant opportunity for children who have finished Reception to the end of year 6 to invite their friends onto the church site to have fun and learn about Jesus.
Last time we went on a Polar Expedition, this year we will be going Under the Sea in our Yellow Submarine!
When is it?
The Holiday Club is for children who have just finished Reception through to the end of years 6.
It runs over three mornings and this year, 2023, it will run from Wednesday 30th August to Friday 1st September from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
On Friday we will finish with a barbecue lunch to which all the family are invited until 2pm - do plan to join us for this.
Bookings will open on 7th June.
What can I expect?
Holiday Club takes over the whole church site and garden and makes full use of our wonderful facilities.
The church is unrecognisable as it is decorated and transformed according to the theme of the club. This year it will become an underwater reef.
The children will need to avoid the Sharks and find precious corals, all while they wait for their Captain to come back!
The children will have great fun in their small groups, playing games in the Seaweed garden, doing craft activities and learning more about Jesus.
We are grateful that so many volunteers from the church help with the running of the club each year.
